A Sweet Success at the Star Eggstravaganza
The annual Eggstravaganza at Hunters Creek Sports Park is always a highlight for our community, and this year’s event on April 4th was no exception. Under beautiful sunny skies and a light breeze, the park was filled with families enjoying the perfect spring weather. For the second year in a row, Christian Brothers Automotive in Star teamed up with us to add a little extra sweetness to the day, and the results were truly impressive.
It was wonderful to see the Christian Brothers team back in action with our deluxe commercial cotton candy machine. This year, the crew operated like a finely-tuned machine themselves. The owner worked side-by-side with his team, dedicated to providing a bit of charity and goodwill to all the citizens of Star who stopped by. Their booth was a hub of energy and smiles, showing exactly what community spirit is all about.
Reflecting on last year, we all remember a bit of "sweet chaos." The turnout was much larger than anyone expected, and the cotton candy machine was pushed to its limits. In that first year, the team managed to give away almost 700 bags of cotton candy to surprised and delighted guests. It was a learning experience that set the stage for the organized success we saw this past weekend.
Even with a slightly more manageable flow this time around, the team still stayed incredibly busy, handing out nearly 500 bags of fluffy treats. Our commercial-grade equipment stood up to the task once again, allowing the crew to keep the lines moving quickly while having a blast in the process. It is always rewarding to see our equipment being used to bring so much joy to a local event.
We are so proud to partner with local businesses like Christian Brothers Automotive that give back to our town in such a fun and generous way. Their commitment to the people of Star makes the Eggstravaganza even more special every year. It was a fantastic day at the park, and we already look forward to seeing them—and their cotton candy-spinning skills—back at Hunters Creek next year!
